Billing & plans
ViewPeek runs on one Stripe subscription per organisation. Plan tiers and pricing live on the pricing page; this guide covers the operational mechanics that matter the day you upgrade, downgrade, or hit a billing edge.
What's on each plan
| Plan | Monitors | Sitemap pages | Included seats | Extra seat | Base price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 10 | 2 | 1 | — | €0 |
| Basic | 50 | 10 | 1 | €8/mo | €9.99/mo |
| Pro | 200 | 100 | 1 | €24/mo | €29.99/mo |
The monitor count covers uptime + SSL + active ping monitors together. Sitemap monitors count separately, with their own per-plan page limit.

Change plan
Plan changes happen on Subscription. The flow uses Stripe's always-invoice proration: changes take effect immediately, and Stripe issues a prorated invoice for the difference between what you've already paid for the current period and the new tier's cost over the remaining days. You see the prorated amount on the confirmation page before you commit.
Upgrades add the difference to your card right away — you keep using the higher tier from the moment the charge clears.
Downgrades to a lower paid tier use the same proration: a credit lands on your account (visible on the next invoice). You also start the lower tier immediately, so if your current usage exceeds the new tier's monitor limit, see the next section.
Downgrades to Free are different — they cancel the Stripe subscription at the end of the current period, so you keep the paid tier's limits until renewal day.
Downgrading below your current monitor count
Existing monitors keep running — we don't delete them on you. You won't be able to add new monitors until you either delete some or upgrade back. The cleanup decision is yours.
How seats are counted
Seats bill at active members in your organisation, not pending invitations. A pending invite doesn't add a seat charge — the seat appears the moment the invitee accepts and validates their email.
Each paid plan includes one seat in the base price. Extra seats are billed at the per-seat price for the plan (see the table above).
VAT & invoices
VAT is handled by Stripe's automatic tax: rates apply based on the billing address you provide. Update the address on Billing; the next invoice picks up the change.
Download PDF invoices anytime from Receipts.
Failed payment
If a renewal charge fails (expired card, insufficient funds, declined by the issuer), the subscription moves to past due. We email you, and you can update the card on Billing at any time — Stripe retries the charge automatically on its own schedule, and the subscription returns to active as soon as a retry succeeds.
While the subscription is past due, invitations and some team-management actions are gated until billing is resolved.
Cancellation
From Subscription click Cancel subscription. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period — you're not paying for unused days. After that the organisation drops to the Free plan automatically.
Payment methods
We accept major cards via Stripe. 3D Secure (PSD2) challenges run inline during plan changes — Stripe Elements opens a modal in-page, we don't redirect you to your bank.
If you need a payment method other than card, contact us.
Next steps
- Compare plan limits — monitors, sitemap pages, seats side by side.
- Invite team members as you approach the seat boundary.
- Update your billing address if the VAT amount on an invoice looks wrong.
