Your monitoring data never leaves the European Union

ViewPeek is EU-operated and EU-hosted, end to end. Here is exactly what that means.

What "EU-only" means here, concretely

  • The operator is European: ViewPeek is run by Dynamic Foundries, a company registered in France. French legal mentions, EU jurisdiction.
  • The infrastructure is European: application, database, and the monitoring agents all run on EU infrastructure in France.
  • Monitor configurations, check results, status pages, and account data are stored in France — never backed up, replicated, or CDN-cached outside the EU.
  • Alert email is sent from EU mail infrastructure, not from a US transactional-mail provider.
  • Front-end assets — fonts, styles, scripts — are self-hosted. Loading this page calls no US CDN.

Even the checks run from the EU

A monitoring service has a second data trail that's easy to overlook: the checks themselves. Every probe against your website produces request logs on your side and result data on the monitoring side. With ViewPeek, both stay European — the agents that check your uptime, SSL certificates, ping targets and sitemaps run from EU infrastructure.

When your data sits with a US cloud provider — even in a European data center — it sits within reach of that provider's legal obligations under US law, such as the CLOUD Act. ViewPeek removes the question instead of answering it: there is no US provider in the chain of custody for your monitoring data. Requests for data go through French and EU law.

GDPR by default

  • The data controller is in the EU, so your GDPR rights are enforceable without transatlantic gymnastics.
  • Deleting your account deletes your monitors, their full check history, and your account data.
  • What ViewPeek stores about your visitors: nothing. We monitor your infrastructure, not your users.

The fine print lives in the privacy policy, which names sub-processors, retention periods, and your rights. Read the privacy policy.

Comparing on sovereignty

If data residency drives your choice of monitoring tool, the useful question is never the flag on the marketing site — it's where the data rests and who can be compelled to hand it over. See how ViewPeek compares with UptimeRobot.
